“I Miss the Sound of Our Bells:” Massachusetts High School Students Reflect on Life During the COVID-19 Pandemic
February 17 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
How are young people experiencing the COVID-19 pandemic? Hear stories of lived-experiences that illuminate the diminished academic learning, increased family responsibilities, shrinking peer groups, and growing mental health issues they faced. At the same time, their voices offer insights into the valuable life lessons they gained—about their own resilience, the importance of family and friendship, and gratitude for their lives.
Join the Boston University Initiative on Cities and CERES Institute for Children and Youth at BU Wheelock College as we share findings from BU research and engage in a moderated panel discussion that brings together the perspectives of schools, districts, researchers, and young people themselves.
